Why Everyone is Talking About Turks and Caicos Luxury Resorts?
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1648663998410{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Why Everyone is Talking About Turks and Caicos Luxury Resorts?
While luxury resorts can be found worldwide, there are some lucky enough to be located in exceptional locations. Turk and Caicos is just such a place.
A string of islands sitting just south-east of Florida (only a short flight from Miami), the Turk and Caicos Islands are a veritable paradise of white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and lush greenery.
The beauty of this island chain has attracted visitors for decades, but the islands’ luxury offerings were a well-kept secret for much of that time. In recent years, however, the world has begun to take notice, and the Turk and Caicos have become a prime luxury destination.
But why are these islands so much more desirable than any others? Well, there are a few reasons, not the least of which is the quality of offerings some of the top luxury resorts in the area provide.
We are going to go through just why Turks and Caicos luxury resorts are so unique, and why this needs to be the next trip you book.
Extraordinary Experiences Found at Turks and Caicos Luxury Resorts
This is the best of Caribbean culture and geography bundled with the finest luxury destinations.
Delicious Caribbean food, clear waters, and a festive culture are abundant on the islands, as are fine spas and wellness escapes. We will cover exactly why you want to plant your next getaway to the Turks and Caicos Islands.
It should be noted that while Turks and Caicos looks, feels, and is a Caribbean island nation culturally and it has the same clear aqua waters, it technically lies on the other side of Cuba in the Atlantic. At the same time, the beaches of these islands are regularly voted the best in the Caribbean, so who are we to argue.
Before we begin, it is also worth noting that the islands are a British protectorate, but operate using U.S. currency. Getting around and operating in the Turks and Caicos Islands is incredibly easy.
Ocean-View Penthouses
No true Turks and Caicos resort is complete without offering you some sort of ocean view penthouses. Some of the world’s best views can be found in places like the Ridgetop Suites at Sailrock Resort, which sit on a precipice overlooking the ocean.
Rooms in these types of resorts are designed around the view, and if you’ve ever wanted to wake up to an ocean sunrise, or spend a romantic night watching the sunset from oceanfront bedroom suites, then these rooms are perhaps amongst the best you will ever find.
Few luxury resorts offer these incredible views. While Sailrock is widely lauded as the best, other options like The Palms Turks and Caicos do exist. Spend some time looking at the offerings each resort has, and ensure you don’t miss out on this opportunity.
Oceanside Spa and Wellness Treatments
There are no shortages of award-winning spa and wellness treatments available amongst the islands. After a long day walking the beach, trekking through the local flora, or snorkeling amongst the waves, you will want to relax. You want to pick a resort that offers complete spa options and allows you to relax and unwind the way you should on vacation.
Hotels like the Amanyara provide wellness immersion courses described as “transformative wellbeing journeys, designed around your unique health profile and wellness goals,” while the resort we previously mentioned, Sailrock, is currently adding on to their wide spa options with a salt spa.
This is a fantastic new offering as salt therapy is gaining newfound popularity for its natural anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and ability to provide relief for respiratory diseases and skin conditions.
Delicious Caribbean Dining
Providenciales has long been known for its many fine Caribbean dining experiences. Restaurants like Coco Bistro and Le Bouchon Du Village have long attracted food enthusiasts from all over, while other experiences like Sui Ren at the Shore Club offer something unique like Peruvian and Japanese cuisine fusions.
The other islands are quickly catching up with their variations of Caribbean flair dining. The A la Minute Smoked Mahi Mahi at the Great House Restaurant delivers an experience that may be worth the trip to South Caicos island alone. If you enjoy Caribbean food, or merely some of the best-prepared meals in the western hemisphere, then these restaurants will be for you.
Quality Venues
Turks and Caicos luxury resorts give you a plethora of quality venues to choose from. Want weddings on the beach or cliff-side at sunset? Perhaps a business summit somewhere everyone will truly want to go to?
The islands’ luxury resorts have a long history of catering to big and small events, with the highest quality and care level.
Spend the time to see which rooms and which resorts are best for your group size and demographics. Some have the options for full private cabana and beach house or villa experiences for entire groups.
Many honeymoons also take place on the islands, and there is perhaps no better romantic escape.
Unique Adventures
You may want to look into taking advantage of the rugged and natural landscape you can find amongst the islands. There is no shortage of hiking and ATV adventures that let you get out your inner explorer.
Romantic couple picnics or group excursions to impressive sites are both possible. If the water is more your thing, then you can go kayaking or snorkeling amongst the amazing tropical fish and rare coral reef.
One event many love to talk about afterward is the mesmerizing above-ground cave systems. These mysterious land structures are scarce, and this is an excellent opportunity to experience them.
There are also more subdued experiences where you can learn about the local wildlife and plant life or take a chartered boat out to visit a shipwreck. There will be curated experiences of all types with trained experts ready to help you make the best of each event.
18 Holes at Provo Golf Club
Now if you just want to spend your vacation enjoying some of your favorite pastimes, like working on your swing, then take in 18 holes at The Turks and Caicos National Course. The Provo Golf Club offers a championship “target-style” golf course.
Watersports and Fishing Excursions
In the Turks and Caicos Islands, the water temperature is perfect for swimming and playing in. The beaches’ water temperature is roughly 82 degrees (28-29 degrees Celsius) and is just like climbing into a warmed pool.
You can make the best of this water by going scuba diving, snorkeling, and exploring some of the planet’s most impressive coral reefs. The Turks & Caicos holds the third-largest barrier reef system in the world. Those who love scuba diving must take advantage of this opportunity.
You can go on a cruise with an open bar provided and ride the Caribbean waves, or have the perfect gourmet meal on the water at sunset. Or, if you want to catch dinner yourself, charter a fishing excursion for Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and all types of tropical fish on various types of boats.
The Caribbean is a sailor’s dream, and you should experience it from the water at some point. Try and find a luxury resort that can help to facilitate that.
Kayak Eco-Tours
Eco-tours are increasingly becoming more popular these days as well. You get to travel amongst and be a part of the area’s marine life with as little disruption as possible.
The Chalk Sound National Park Kayak Tour, for example, will help you to gear up and will provide a guide for you to go and see the wildlife and their natural habitats first hand in a fun and unique way.
Whale Watching
Humpback Whale Watching is a unique and genuinely majestic experience. Go with a marine biologist and take the chance to see one of the masters of the ocean in person.
Luxury Hotels in Turks and Caicos are Waiting
A fitness center, swimming pool, and easy beachfront access should also be high on your list of needs. Luckily most luxury resorts and boutique hotels on the islands have these options in some form or another.
One mistake many make is the need to be near Grace Bay Beach, thinking this is the only quality option on the islands. The truth is dozens of beaches Turks and Caicos offers are all just as beautiful; where the sands are white and warm and the crystalline waters beckon you to explore. Many of the best beaches have smaller crowds (or none at all) and can provide a much more pleasant experience -great if you want that private island feel.
There are tons of resorts that are worth a look, and that offer the expected basics like Wi-Fi and concierge service; some even have tennis courts to enjoy.
We have named quite a few already, but we didn’t get time to talk about the great Seven Stars resort & spa or Somerset. Some other honorable mentions include The Palms, Grace Bay Club, West Bay Club, Como parrot cay, and the Wymara resort.
TripAdvisor can be a help in listing the amenities and qualities of each offer. Look to see which have the options you need, and which have the amenities you may simply desire – like cabanas or an infinity pool, and remember both are important on your vacation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”pt32 pb32″][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1602712479571{border-top-width: 1px !important;border-right-width: 1px !important;border-bottom-width: 1px !important;border-left-width: 1px !important;border-left-color: #005487 !important;border-left-style: solid !important;border-right-color: #005487 !important;border-right-style: solid !important;border-top-color: #005487 !important;border-top-style: solid !important;border-bottom-color: #005487 !important;border-bottom-style: solid !important;border-radius: 10px !important;}” offset=”vc_col-lg-offset-3 vc_col-md-offset-3 vc_col-sm-offset-3″][vc_column_text align=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1602712507091{margin-bottom: 0px !important;padding-top: 20px !important;}”]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1648662826992{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]3 Best Resorts in Turks and Caicos
When you think of Turks and Caicos, you likely think of pristine white sand beaches, clear waters, and fantastic wildlife. But one of the often unspoken reasons these islands are genuinely so enticing for so many these days is the quality resorts to be found there.
The best resorts Turks and Caicos offers provide couples or the whole family, fun, food, entertainment, and luxury when the sun sets or you need a break from the waves. At these resorts, it is possible to charter an intrepid fishing trip or go snorkeling amongst the corral, only to return to a full salt spa treatment and gourmet dinner.
These resorts are why so many people return to the Turks and Caicos Islands, again and again, each year.
Turks and Caicos aren’t a single island as many think; rather, it is an archipelago of 40 cays and small coral islands grouped together south-east of the Bahamas and Florida.
The major airport is located on the largest island of Providenciales (Provo), which is also where Grace Bay beach is located, the often voted the best beach in the world. (However, almost every beach amongst the Turks and Caicos Islands has much of the same beauty and makeup.) Many of the islands remain uninhabited and make for an exciting excursion during your stay.
But with so many great islands and things to do it can be hard to narrow down your options.
From the island of Providenciales to South Caicos, we are going to look at the best hotels and Turks and Caicos resorts available for booking today. Whether you want a stunning beach resort or a more inland experience, there is something here for you.
All of the resorts provided have proven to be premier experiences from check-in to check-out.
Top 3 Resorts in Turks and Caicos
Sailrock Resort
The beaches of South Caicos contain all of the same beauty as those of Providenciales, but with a much more exclusive feel, and a much less developed, natural environment to be enjoyed. Sailrock takes full advantage of this fact and has made the island a premier destination for those looking for a luxury oceanfront experience.
This is a top-of-the-line resort with deluxe, full accommodations that stands well above the other options currently on offer.
Sailrock luxury resort offers one to two-bedroom suites and villas of various sizes with breathtaking views of the ocean. With the Ridgetop suites and beachfront villas, you are treated to your private terrace looking out to the sea, offering fantastic panoramic views. You will also have easy and direct access to the hotel’s central hub.
The middle-of-the-line package Ocean-View Suite, for example, has an interior of over 500 sq. ft. and exterior space of nearly 400 sq. ft. Taking up this space is full kitchens, a walk-in shower, king bed, large soaking tub, a double-vanity, Wi-Fi, and more. Couple all of this with the world-class view, and you are already in heaven. The biggest two-bedroom suite rooms are almost a thousand square feet!
Another option, if you still want a more exclusive experience, is the Private Peninsula Villas. These private villas each offer excellent privacy and give you the full opportunity to enjoy your own time away in a gorgeous beach house. The neighborhood sits on over 700 acres of wildland and shoreline and provides you access to prime dining options, secluded private beaches, an infinity pool, a fitness facility, and a full-service spa.
Don’t let the media fanfare over Grace Bay Beach distract you from this gem.
Grace Bay Club
The Grace Bay Club is amongst the better resorts in Providenciales and is more or less three different resorts fit into one. Each aspect of the resort is built for a different type of clientele, with a family section, a section for adults only, and then the “uber-luxe resort within a resort, The Estate.”
They have plenty to keep the whole family busy, multiple swimming pools, easy beach access, and solid restaurants. Each area has a wide selection of things to enjoy. All of this together makes Grace Bay Club one of the top resorts, but it is also one of the more expensive options for what you will receive.
Interestingly enough, they do offer a relatively fair package for long-term stays of 28 nights or more with daily breakfast included. Other meals included packages with multiple course meals per day are also offered.
The hotel is set along the famous Grace Bay Beach and is roughly 12km from the main airport. It is one of the original resorts on the island and has become much of a landmark. One of the events they have been able to put together is the annual Caribbean Food & Wine Festival.
The Palms Turks and Caicos
The Palms Turks and Caicos is also located along Grace Bay Beach and has been built to emphasize privacy and relaxation amongst one of the island’s busier areas. The resort has a good spa, great dining, and easy access to a ton of local events and activities, including a tennis court.
The Palms Turks has a laid-back vibe and offers complimentary non-motorized water sports such as paddleboards, kayaking, and snorkeling equipment to help you enjoy the clear waters. They offer a unique feature called “moon bathing” where mini-spa treatments are offered along with your after-dinner cocktails and some snacks.
Honorable Mentions
Amanyara Turks and Caicos
Sitting on Providenciales’ Northwest Point Marine National Park, an 18,000-acre nature preserve, Amanyara Turks & Caicos lets you experience a fantastic level of seclusion and luxury.
Some of the best snorkeling and scuba-diving experiences are said to be found in these waters, and the resort area still plays host to several quality restaurants and wellness (spa) facilities.
A unique offering is the open-air pavilions that allow you to fully experience a stay in nature, coupled with the luxury of full amenities and service. Villas of two to six bedrooms are also available for small to large groups.
The Shore Club Turks and Caicos
Rather than sitting on Grace Bay Beach, The Shore Club is located on Long Bay Beach, nearer to Providenciales’ town center.
With three restaurants, a spa, four pools, a kids club, and lovely laid-out rooms, this resort is a perfect way to spend your vacation. Romantic junior suites, up to multiple bedroom Villas, are on offer. Each has fantastic amenities; the latter sits on a secluded white sand beach while the former punches well above its weight in terms of cost to comfort.
Many events are hotels at the 3,000 square foot ballroom the grounds hold, and there are plenty of hosted events put on by the establishment each year.
If you are looking for luxury in Provo, but with more seclusion than Grace Bay Beach offers, The Shore Club Turks & Caicos is perhaps an option.
COMO Parrot Cay Resort
The Como Parrot Cay is a unique option as it sits on Parrot Cay, a small island, near the community of Rock Point. This private island is relatively small but still offers a huge amount to do, including snorkeling, trekking, yoga, and more.
Asian fusion and classic Italian restaurants can be found here, and both are truly excellent. Keith Richards lives nearby and says this is the place he would happily disappear to.
The island was once called Pirate Cay, after the famous pirates Anne Bonny and Calico Jack were said to once have stopped off there, but the name was changed to sound more appealing to guests.
Popular Attractions in the Turks and Caicos Islands
There are a lot of hotels in the Turks and Caicos, which speaks to their desirability as a destination. At the same time, it can be hard to decide which one is the best for your unique needs. We didn’t even mention popular hotels such as Wymara Resort, The Sands, Point Grace, Seven Stars Resort & Spa, West Bay Club, Alexandra Resort, Blue Haven Resort, The Somerset, and Beaches Turks & Caicos -which are all worth a look.
One way to help you narrow your choices down is to create a list of the activities you absolutely must do and which you don’t care much about. This list could also include specific amenities, dining, or other services. By the end, you should have a more refined list to draw from. On the other hand, Sailrock Resort and COMO Parrot Cay will always be a great choice no matter what.
The following are some experiences you may wish to include (or not) in your list. This is by no means an exhaustive list of activities you can enjoy at the best resorts in Turks and Caicos.
Water Sports, Chartered Fishing Trips, Water Tours, and Sailing Cruises
Scuba diving, kayaks, paddle boarding, and snorkeling amongst the tropical fish and reefs must be experienced. You can easily join a tour or charter your own boat for a once-in-a-lifetime experience with the Caribbean sea life.
There are also dining cruises (sometimes paired up with the snorkeling trips) that allow you to go and have a romantic sunset dinner on the water. Whale watching is also a tourism favorite.
The unique fishing options available in the Turks and Caicos shouldn’t be overlooked by those anglers out there. On many islands, you will be able to charter a boat for an excursion to go find fish such as Wahoo, Mahi, and more. Boats of all types and sizes are available.
Island Tours
Experience the wild flora and fauna of the Turks and Caicos Islands in a myriad of ways – from buggies and ATVs to nature walks and bird watching tours. While the beaches are gorgeous, just as much beauty lies amongst the plants and animals that dwell on the land. If you are staying for an extended period, you may want to look into a resort that sits on an island with more outdoor activities.
Book a Trip Today
When one thinks of the Turk and Caicos Islands, they think of beautiful beaches, coral reefs, and turquoise waters. Still, nearly as impressive as the islands’ natural beauty are the myriad luxury hotels and resorts they host.
From romantic getaways to complete family-friendly packages, there is no shortage of ways to enjoy the best beaches on the planet. Don’t hesitate, find your dream resort and plan your getaway vacation today, you won’t regret it![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”pt32 pb32″][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1602712479571{border-top-width: 1px !important;border-right-width: 1px !important;border-bottom-width: 1px !important;border-left-width: 1px !important;border-left-color: #005487 !important;border-left-style: solid !important;border-right-color: #005487 !important;border-right-style: solid !important;border-top-color: #005487 !important;border-top-style: solid !important;border-bottom-color: #005487 !important;border-bottom-style: solid !important;border-radius: 10px !important;}” offset=”vc_col-lg-offset-3 vc_col-md-offset-3 vc_col-sm-offset-3″][vc_column_text align=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1602712507091{margin-bottom: 0px !important;padding-top: 20px !important;}”]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1648660929982{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Why Choose Turks and Caicos for Destination Weddings
A destination wedding allows you to escape and celebrate away from your busy lives, and make it an experience completely about your love.
While a beach wedding is a beautiful experience in every instance, it can be made even better when you are catered to on a true island paradise.
Pristine white-sand beaches, clear turquoise waters, and a five-star experience; are the ingredients of a true dream wedding, and these are also the elements that clearly describe Turks and Caicos resorts.
The Turks and Caicos Islands are amongst the most beautiful islands in the world and are only a short distance away from the Florida coast with easy connectivity to Miami and New York, these islands are quickly becoming the premier destination for East Coast (and beyond) wedding escapes.
We are going to take a closer look at these islands and why Turks and Caicos’ all-inclusive resorts may be the absolute best escape for your dream wedding.
What are the Turks and Caicos Islands?
Turk and Caicos isn’t a single location; rather it is a territory composed of many small islands and cays.
The major international airport is located on the island called Providenciales (Provo). This island also happens to have the famous Grace Bay Beach location, but it is not the only desirable destination. Many islands contain exquisite resorts and amenities, while others are home to natural wildlife and even a few shipwrecks dot the coasts.
All in all, the islands are a perfect mix of wild, untamed nature, and beautiful comfort amongst the shores.
The Turks & Caicos Islands are a British Overseas Territory, the US dollar is an accepted currency, and the primary language is English-based Creole. The capital is located about 650 miles southeast of Miami.
A vast amount of wild plants, animals, reefs, and marine life are spread across the archipelago, and it is generally considered amongst the most diverse ecosystems on earth.
Little Islands with Big History
The history of these islands is nearly as complex and diverse as the creatures who dwell upon them. Tribes, pirates, and empires have all spent their time on these shores.
The Turks and Caicos Islands originally played home to the Lucayan and Taino tribes, who settled on numerous islands. To this day, the tribal people’s fondness for conch has remained a defining cultural trait of the islands, and the Caicos Conch Farm is currently the only commercial conch farm in the world.
Salt farms and a ready supply of food attracted European sailors, and eventually, European powers took control. In the late 17th century, pirates used the islands as a refuge and retreat when attacking Spanish shipping. The islands were officially colonized in 1681 by salt collectors.
Today the islands remain a British Overseas Territory.
Why a Turks & Caicos Destination Wedding?
Now history is nice, but why should these islands play host to your dream wedding?
Well, the first reason is that the beaches of the Turks & Caicos are commonly winners of awards and top the lists of the best places to visit consistently. This is the premier island getaway destination, not just another place with some ocean views.
But the beaches of Turks & Caicos are only the beginning of what the islands have to offer.
The exciting nature and wildlife of the island, paired with the five-star luxury resorts, spas, and dining experiences, present the best of both worlds.
Adventure, comfort, and relaxation have never melded so well. Salt scrub spa treatments, seasonal seafood specialties, private boat charters, jungle excursions, and so much more – this isn’t just a trip to have a wedding with a scenic background. The right resort can make this a full catered experience amongst the Caribbean’s pristine beaches and unspoiled island environments.
Wedding Packages for Turks and Caicos
There is no limit to the number of options available to you when it comes to the actual type of wedding you wish to have. You can choose from Turks & Caicos wedding packages ranging from major events to an intimate wedding with only close loved ones, offering you the perfect way of saying I do on your special day no matter your preference.
Work with a local wedding planner and take a close look at many wedding venue options available.
In most cases, when you work with one of the high-end resorts, you will have access to a wedding coordinator who will assist you with things like the particular floral arrangements and all the other setup needed to create the perfect ambiance for the nuptials.
There are many quality resorts and wedding locations throughout the islands, including the Blue Haven Resort, the Turks and Caicos’ Sailrock Resort, and the Como Parrot Cay.
One example at Sailrock goes well beyond a simple wedding ceremony and wedding party. The resort will help you officiate the ceremony, provide witnesses when necessary, a single-tier cake, champagne, live music, menu creation, and other coordination and planning concierge services.
While you can, of course, handle most of this yourself, it is nice to have the resort as a stop-gap against anything you forgot, or that goes wrong. They have everything from private personal ceremonies to a la cart services for over thirty people.
Nothing will stop you from having the perfect wedding day when you have professional wedding planning and redundancies in place.
Maybe a Villa Retreat?
There are so many choices for a romantic getaway on the islands; it is worth visiting some of the more unique ones.
A villa or luxury rental can give you the same beachfront access as a larger hotel, but the privacy of true romance deserves. A sunlit spacious bedroom overlooking breathtaking views will give your days altogether a whole new level of satisfaction.
Boutique hotels on secluded cays typically have several private villas or cabanas for couples.
Excursion Options
One option that is great for those looking to make a memorable experience during their time on the islands must make sure to book with a resort that offers, or at least is near, excursion package events.
These are fantastic adventures for small groups who want to explore and picnic out in the natural environment. Take bikes and ATVs across the sands of back roads, or go snorkeling on the reefs. See tropical fish and wild animals, and make your wedding trip a real event.
If fishing or water sports are more your thing, there are tons of charters to help you have the best possible day on the water. Experts will be on hand to help you make the most of the opportunity.
When you get tired of the water and want some fun on dry land, go ahead and book a meal at one of the fine restaurants, or sign up to play 18 holes at The Turks and Caicos National Course or the Provo Golf Club. Play in paradise amongst the championship “target-style” golf courses.
There are also more subdued trips where you can explore and learn about the islands’ history, flora, and fauna on a guided and relaxing tour.
All in all, make sure to have excursions on your to-do list and experience the Turks and Caicos the way they are meant to be experienced.
Some Interesting Facts About the Islands
These are some other reasons you may love to spend your time in the Turks and Caicos.
Caribbean Culture
While the Turks and Caicos are part of Caribbean culture, and the clear waters and pristine sands look as beautiful if not more so than any in the Caribbean, the islands technically lay in the Atlantic (since they are on the North-Eastern side of Cuba).
On the plus side, delicious Caribbean food and the same festive culture is abundant on the islands.
The Water Temperature is Perfect
The water off the beaches is 82 to 84 degrees (28-29 degrees Celsius) and feels like you are hopping into a comfortably warmed pool.
Annual Humpback Whale Migration
If you time it right, you can get a glance at the majestic humpback whales as they pass through the islands. From January to March, you have a great opportunity to try and see these wonders of the ocean in person should you so wish.
Amazing Above Ground Caves
If spelunking and playing Indiana Jones is more your style, then the islands’ mysterious caves may be worth the trip.
Many Islands are Uninhabited
While there are roughly 40 islands, only eight are inhabited. Many excursions and trips to these small islands allow for complete seclusion.
This lack of habitation is likely why so many famous pirates in history used them as a stopping spot to repair and refresh. Calico Jack and Anne Bonny are perhaps the most famous of these pirates to have graced the shores.
A Giant Barrier Reef
Turks & Caicos holds the second-largest barrier reef system in the western part of the world. Those who love scuba diving will find this to be a remarkable opportunity.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1648658799038{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]A Look at the Best Turks and Caicos Hotels
Being able to kick back and relax enjoying the rolling waves and the tropical breeze is something we all need to take the time to do more of. Luckily, with a trip to Turks and Caicos, you can do that while also enjoying fine dining, live music, and a room made for a king.
The Turks and Caicos Islands are a fantastic destination for families, adventurers, lovers, and even business summits. With the right hotel, this incredible experience can become one that you will truly never forget.
To help find the perfect hotel for your next vacation, we are going to take a closer look at Turks and Caicos and the best hotels they have to offer.
What are the Turks and Caicos Islands?
Before we begin we should first cover just what the Turks and Caicos Islands are. Turks and Caicos is a territory made up of a chain of many small cays and islands just north-east of Cuba and only a short flight from both Miami and New York.
Many of the islands are still uninhabited, and most of the territory’s residents live on the island called Providenciales (Provo). The main island is also the location of most of the hotels and well-known attractions, but it is not the only place worth visiting.
A lot of the islands have great resorts and amenities, and all are home to diverse natural wildlife. (Its ecosystem is considered one of the most diverse on earth.) There are even a few shipwrecks that dot the coasts.
As far as general day-to-day, the islands are technically a British Overseas Territory, but the US dollar is used as the main currency, making for a unique mix. The primary language is an English-based creole so navigating around is relatively easy.
All in all, the Turks and Caicos Islands are a premier destination widely considered a hidden gem of Caribbean travel experiences.
Popular Hotels in Turks and Caicos
When you are planning your dream getaway to the turquoise waters of Turk and Caicos, you want an experience that is fantastic from check-in to check-out. While Expedia reviews are helpful, it can be challenging to get a quick list of your top options all in one place.
To this end, we have put together a list of hospitality establishments ranging from typical hotel stays, cabanas, and suites, as well as some all-inclusive Caicos resorts and luxury hotels. Regardless of which you choose, these are proven to be excellent places from which to enjoy the islands.
Sailrock Resort
Sitting alongside the South Caicos shoreline, the Sailrock resort is one of the Turks and Caicos Islands’ premier destination. This hotel was named the Caribbean’s Leading Luxury Island Resort for 2021, and it is continuing to expand and improve its offerings even as we speak (the Na Salt Spa is set to be coming in 2021).
Currently, guests enjoy a wide selection of amenities along with excellent dining options, secluded beaches, massages, spa cabanas, an infinity pool, and more. The entire location offers breathtaking views, as well as easy access to the beaches and local areas.
There are one or two-bedroom suites overlooking the ocean and villas for up to four guests. The villas give a private terrace with large glass doors that offer dramatic panoramic ocean views and allow you to spend the evening watching the sunset from the comfort of your room.
These offerings and the location make the Sailrock Resort a regular #1 choice amongst Turks and Caicos hotels.
The Oasis
The Oasis is a 29 unit boutique hotel set into the peaceful Grace Bay Village with lush greenery, multiple swimming pools, and complimentary bikes to help you get around.
The hotel is very close to everything, and you are 5 min bike ride away from the grocery store and a ton of restaurants. The rooms are modern and clean, come with Wi-Fi and a mini-fridge.
Seven Stars Resort & Spa
Located on the oceanfront along the famous Grace Bay Beach (acclaimed by many as the best beach in the world), Seven Stars Resort & Spa is a fantastic hotel to take the sandals off and put your feet up at. They are known for their white-glove service, more refined dining, and the many nearby water activities.
The beachfront hotel also boasts a full-spa service, beachside massages, and couples massages thanks to its in-house world-class spa. Villa options are available if you are seeking more solitude than a typical hotel experience can provide.
Grace Bay Club
Enjoy the pool or take a stroll at sunset along the beach – this hotel is a time-honored classic of the islands.
This hotel located on Providenciales, is an iconic landmark of the area and retains all of its timeless glory. The Club also sits along Grace Bay beach and provides great access to all of the island’s best water sports and activities.
The Sands at Grace Bay
Another Grace Bay Beach hotel on Providenciales, this 114-suite luxury resort allows you to choose from smaller rooms to fully-equipped suites. The hotel’s grounds contain plenty of fine dining and has easy access to all of the best of Grace Bay Beach.
This is a very popular spot for wedding parties and larger events like meetings, and they cater well to these crowds with large meeting venue spaces for up to 60 people and with free Wi-Fi. As they say on their brochure, the “fine accommodations, onsite dining and complimentary amenities make us a fantastic choice for meetings on Providenciales.”
The Shore Club Turks & Caicos
Located on the more secluded Long Bay Beach near Providenciales’ town center, this hotel has four pools, a spa, three restaurants, and great accommodations. There are also beautiful views to enjoy from the resort as you partake in these amenities.
The Shore Club Turks & Caicos regularly wins awards for top hotels in the Caribbean, most recently the USA Today’s readers’ choice awards in 2019.
Villas are also available if you wish for even more privacy during your stay.
West Bay Club
This is another member of the Grace Bay Resort Group, which the Grace Bay Club was a part of. Just as with The Grace Bay Club hotel, this resort has fantastic oceanfront property, a lovely kitchen and bar, and provides a nice and “chill” atmosphere.
While the hotel itself is a bit more subdued than some of the other luxury options on the list, The West Bay Club still has plenty of luxury suite options, going all the way up to four bedrooms.
The Somerset on Grace Bay
New York-based designer Rosenberg Kolb designed the Somerset, and the pure suite and villa layout make you feel as if you are staying in your own beach house. Each room has a full kitchen with appliances, a refrigerator, as well as a fine marble bathroom. A spa, fitness center, and outdoor pool are also onsite.
The hotel also has options for casual and fine dining choices giving you plenty to choose from throughout the day. Some of the highlights include the lobster, raw bar and woodstone oven. They also have the island’s favorite conch (which the islands has a unique relationship with) and ceviche.
Windsong
Lying farther to the west of Grace Bay, nearer to Grace Bay West is the Windsong resort. This hotel is built right up next to a reef, allowing you to snorkel and see amazing sea life without needing to charter a boat.
You can walk right outside your door and hang out with sea turtles and tropical fish within a few minutes. The hotel even provides complimentary snorkeling gear for guests.
The hotel’s accommodations include options for both rooms and studios as well as bungalow suites, multi-bedroom oceanfront suites, and non-oceanfront suites. All but the last have great views of the ocean. The space includes sophisticated interiors, solid dining, a boutique spa, a fitness center, and even a butler request station (concierge) to help you with anything you can think of.
Wymara Resort
Just down the beach, a bit more to the west from the Windsong, is the Wymara Resort.
This hotel is perhaps best known for its 7,000 square-foot infinity-edge pool. However, the Wymara also offers a great Asian fusion restaurant as well as a beachfront establishment nearby called Zest that is amazing. The Wymara can provide ideal accommodations for romantic couple getaways, as well as large groups of up to ten and can provide activities for both types of demographics.
The hotel offers a series of packages catered to their typical crowds. One example is the Detox and Reset package made to help you “Start your summer off right with complimentary fitness classes, fresh detox juice every morning, spa services, and more.”
Honorable Mentions
There are a ton of fantastic hotels to choose from when you are looking amongst the Turks & Caicos. While the list we have provided should have given you more than enough fine hotels to choose from, there is that chance that you want even more options.
La Vista Azul is a great place located on Turtle Cove that is worth checking out, so is Ocean Club West, Villa Del Mar, the Royal West Indies Resort, and The Palms Turks -and these are all in the same Grace Bay area.
Located on the Atlantic side of Provo is the Shore Club Turks, while the Blue Haven Resort is on the north-eastern end near Mangrove Cay. Amanyara hotel is on the far western end of the island.
A good off-Providenciales option is Como Parrot Cay located on Parrot cay. A private island, it was a famous pirate stop-off in the Golden age of piracy.
Find the Right Hotel for You
Take the time to find the perfect spot to kick your shoes off. While any trip to the Turks & Caicos will be a great and memorable adventure, the right hotel can make this experience truly perfect.
Weigh your options, think about what you want out of your trip and find the options that fit exactly what you want out of your island escape hotel. Do they offer the right amenities? Excursion packages? A good location? Offer a family-friendly vibe? How important these factors are will ultimately be up to you.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”pt32 pb32″][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1602712479571{border-top-width: 1px !important;border-right-width: 1px !important;border-bottom-width: 1px !important;border-left-width: 1px !important;border-left-color: #005487 !important;border-left-style: solid !important;border-right-color: #005487 !important;border-right-style: solid !important;border-top-color: #005487 !important;border-top-style: solid !important;border-bottom-color: #005487 !important;border-bottom-style: solid !important;border-radius: 10px !important;}” offset=”vc_col-lg-offset-3 vc_col-md-offset-3 vc_col-sm-offset-3″][vc_column_text align=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1602712507091{margin-bottom: 0px !important;padding-top: 20px !important;}”]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1648664838561{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]The Best All-Inclusive Resorts in Turks and Caicos
What if I told you getting away from it all and putting your feet up in a private beach house is easier than you think?
Well, closer to the United States than most other tropical refuges, the island nation of Turks and Caicos is an archipelago located in the Caribbean only 575 miles southeast of Miami. Beautiful villas, beaches, and all-inclusive resorts dot the lush landscape and are premier luxury destinations comparable to any in the world.
Many who desire an island escape take a look at more well-known or typical Caribbean islands and stop there, failing to realize superior, though less well-known options, lie even closer to home.
This works to the island’s advantage, however, as many beaches are nearly untouched by modern humans. The results are fresh sands and unique ecosystems ripe for exploration, all punctuated by some of the world’s finest amenities.
In this article, we will take a look at the Turks and Caicos islands, some essential information about them, and where the finest all-inclusive resorts and villas sit on them today.
Where and What are the Turks and Caicos Islands?
The Turks & Caicos is a British Overseas Territory with a resident population just above thirty-thousand, most of whom live on Providenciales’ island (also known as Provo). The islands are located northeast of Cuba, and the capital city, Cockburn Town, on Grand Turk Island, is about 650 miles southeast of Miami.
The islands were inhabited by both native peoples and a series of subsequent European powers, but the economy of the islands saw little in the way of commerce or expansion until the 1960s with the opening of the first airstrip and hotels at Grace Bay beach on Providenciales.
In the ’80s, Club Méditerannée funded an upgrading of the airstrip, and the tourism industry has been steadily increasing through the subsequent decades. (Club Med Turkoise is an all-inclusive resort located on the islands still run by Club Méditerannée.)
The official language of the territory is English, and the official currency is the US dollar. These last few facts are why the Turks & Caicos islands today are seeing so much interest from investors.
The islands themselves are home to an incredibly diverse array of flora and fauna and are widely considered amongst the most pristine ecosystems on the planet. Beautiful barrier reefs, mesmerizing white sand, and constant sunshine -there is perhaps no more enjoyable place on the planet to kick your shoes off.
While they have remained a secret until now, Turks and Caicos hotels and investment properties are seeing a massive surge of interest. Government policies have only helped this surge. With the combination of income tax breaks on rentals and capital gains, as well as the picturesque views, this couldn’t stay secret for long.
The Best All-Inclusive Resorts in Turks and Caicos
Before we talk about the fishing tours, wild untamed beaches, and sailing adventures, we will first look at the luxury side of things. Whether you are looking for a hotel, resort, or personal villa there are a multitude of options.
We are talking about the Wi-Fi infused, boutique, swim-up bar style destinations you are craving.
Throughout the islands, amongst the beaches and dotting the landscape are pristine beautiful resorts offering seclusion, relaxation and complete natural immersion. The best resorts in Turks and Caicos are the epitomes of luxury and are amongst the finest on the globe.
We are going to take a look at which ones are the best all-inclusive resorts in Turks and Caicos.
Sailrock Resort
Located on often overlooked South Caicos, Sailrock Resort is a gorgeous spot offering one or two bedroom suites overlooking the ocean, and villas for up to four. The villas allow you a private terrace with large sliding glass doors that open right onto the beach, while the suites sit high on a ridge overlooking the ocean and island, offering panoramic ocean views that will stick with you for a lifetime.
In addition to different inclusive packages for their resort, Sailrock also has great offerings for real estate in the area. The vacation homes in the Sailrock Peninsula Neighborhood sit in a naturally preserved spot of mixed vegetation and beaches and offer the same quality views as the larger resort, private swimming pools and many other amenities.
All of these offerings and options make the Sailrock Resort a top choice amongst the Turks and Caicos luxury resorts and villas.
Alexandra Resort
The all-inclusive Alexandra Resort offers studios, bedroom suites, and great deals for families with kids. Sitting right next to the famous Grace Bay Beach, this resort ensures you have places for fine dining, quality relaxation, and adventure.
Suppose you are looking for clear waters, fun activities, excellent dining experiences like pizza from
Pizzaluka, or drinks from the Coconut Bar. In that case, the Alexandra Resort needs to be your next stop.
Blue Haven Resort
This is another all-inclusive Caicos resort that gets it all right. Serene atmosphere, excellent restaurants, and spacious suites. If it wasn’t for the other excellent items on this list, one would be tempted to say it was a near-perfect resort.
As it stands, the Blue Haven Resort matches up well with the other top options. Many Turks and Caicos destination weddings use the location for its great sites and the ability to escape tourists.
Royal West Indies
Royal West Indies is another great locale along the famous Grace Bay Beach with spacious suites built in the classic Caribbean Colonial style. These 540 sq. ft. suites are perfect for couples and include a deep bathtub and all of the high-end amenities you have come to expect.
Many romantic getaways are built around the Royal West Indies.
Parrot Cay Resort
Parrot Cay is a smaller island whose main resort has over sixty rooms as well as beach houses and villas.
Two fantastic restaurants can be found on the island, both Italian and Asian options are available with menus to keep you busy for weeks. And though the island is relatively small, snorkeling, yoga, Pilates and more are all offered here.
In the nearby community of Rocky Point, fine beach houses are sold and owned by many celebrities, including Bruce Willis and Keith Richards, the latter of whom has stated he would happily spend his remaining days in the area.
For a bit of interesting trivia, the island was originally named Pirate Cay in honor of the famous female pirate Anne Bonny, a compatriot of Calico Jack and featured in the recent Starz series Black Sails, was thought to have camped in the area in the early 1700s. The name was changed eventually to more easily attract visitors.
This is a land of beauty that famous pirates, and still celebrities, have called home.
Sites, and Attractions of the Turks & Caicos
We should next cover some of the finer places to go while you are out and about enjoying the day in Turks and Caicos.
Sailing Cruises & Water Tours
Go snorkeling, scuba diving, and explore some of the planet’s most impressive wild reefs. There is no shortage of quality cruises and yacht charters to help you get in touch with the Caribbean waves. Many of the exploration cruises provide food, open bars, and curated swimming and snorkeling spots.
The more luxury-minded can also get fine dining with perfect sunset views. These are romantic escapes that you and your significant other will cherish forever. A highly recommended choice is the Champagne Sunset Cruise in Providenciales for adults only.
Families with young ones have options as well. For example, the Turks & Caicos Sesame Sail Away Catamaran Cruise offers a half-day sailing adventure and brunch hosted by popular sesame street characters -great for keeping the kids busy while the parents can enjoy the view.
Eat gourmet food, explore the ocean life, and experience the Caribbean the way it was meant to be experienced. Full and half-day cruise and boat tour options are available throughout the populated areas of the islands.
Kayak Eco Tours
Kayaks are an amazing way to tour the islands and get a fun experience with marine life and the mangroves. These tours are often for those who want a closer experience with nature and tend to go off the beaten paths.
One of the most popular options is the Chalk Sound National Park Kayak Tour, which gives you all the gear and instruction you need and a dedicated guide and helps you explore the secluded Chalk Sound bay.
Humpback Whale Watching
The chance to see a majestic humpback whale doesn’t come along every day. Get on a specialized tour with a marine biologist and go snorkeling and sight-seeing as you wait for your chance to see one of our planet’s most unique creatures.
Chartered Fishing Tours
If you want a more active experience on the water, then you can go ahead and charter yourself an offshore sport fishing event. You can spend the day in search of Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and more on boats of all types. For true anglers, don’t miss the bonefishing on South Caicos.
18-Holes of Golf at Provo Golf Club
When you get tired of the water and need some time on dry land, go ahead and take in 18 holes at The Turks and Caicos National Course, the Provo Golf Club. Play in paradise amongst the championship “target-style” golf course.
Island Buggy Tour
Now, if you want to see the islands quickly, perhaps a jungle buggy tour will be more your style. These packages allow you to drive a rugged all-terrain vehicle through the jungle and to quickly see large swathes of land. Local native communities and other various landmarks can all be spotted on these tours.
What is the Best Beach?
Most of the beaches Turks and Caicos islands offer may be perfect for watersports, surfing, and other activities, but a few truly stand out.
Sailrock Beach
Located on the west coast of South Caicos this is a different experience than many of the other resort beaches. South Caicos has very few dense population centers, and thus these beaches are almost entirely untouched. If you are looking for a real escape to a private beach, then this is where you want to be.
Taylor Bay Beach
Another beach on Providenciales, Taylor Bay Beach is another place for calm waters, beautiful sand, and easy water sports and activities (like snorkeling). The water is shallow for as much as 700 meters giving you an exceptionally unique day at the beach.
Sapodilla Bay Beach
Just a hop and a skip to the south-east of Taylor Bay Beach is the picturesque and sheltered Sapodilla Bay Beach. Another one of the perfect beaches Turks & Caicos offers to those in the know, it boasts beautiful sloping warm water, white sands and great amounts of seclusion.
Grace Bay Beach
Grace Bay Beach can be found on the island of Providenciales on the north end. This is one of the better-known beaches and thus the designated award winner for the area.
The beach itself has won multiple awards across the internet and throughout travel magazines. Grace Bay Beach won TripAdvisor’s best overall beach for 2018. The sand’s consistency, the calm water thanks to the nearby barrier reef, and the proximity to other attractions make this a world-class destination.
Such is the beauty of this area that many who take the time to travel to this beach become returning visitors throughout their life.
As you can see, this is just a small example of the dozens, if not hundreds, of quality beaches for you to explore across the Turks and Caicos Islands.
These beaches are the kind used for screen savers and posters and are indeed jewels of the Caribbean with their turquoise waters and white-sand beaches. You owe it to yourself to visit one of these shores at least once in your life.
Turks and Caicos Home Ownership
Turks and Caicos is a British Overseas Territory, and thus benefit front the added stability and support that entails. Additionally, the usage of English, and the American dollar, also eases the transition for many.
There are no restrictions on who can purchase land; no permission is required from the government before you buy. The only law is that foreign corporations cannot directly own land and must put it under a local trust or business.
The prices of land in Turks and Caicos will vary greatly by island and location.
Beachfront properties are obviously at a premium, as are plots on Providenciales island. Currently, the Sailrock Resort offers ownership packages including Beachfront Villas and Ridgetop Residences with pristine views at historically hard to beat rates.
These homes are complete with organic-aesthetic furnishings, open design layouts, and seamless connections to the outdoor terraces and gardens as well as extensive management services offered by the resort. There are even more private residents nearby down the peninsula that feature a very low-density community, emphasizing privacy. All villa plans are customizable to your needs.
While many don’t consider buying land in the islands at first, after a visit or two, folks realize they never want to leave. The unique mixture of adventure and tranquility is challenging to resist. Coupled with the luxurious services, top-of-the-line amenities, and the perfect secluded island atmosphere, you’ve found your little piece of heaven.
Before buying, it’s often recommended that you use the maximum time on a tourist visa at least once to get a real feel for the lifestyle and nature of the area for a few weeks. Talk with locals and get to understand what life on the islands entails.
Luxury resorts may dot the Turks and Caicos, but in many ways, it is still a developing country, and many parts of life differ from the mainland – life runs at a slower pace, which if anything, allows you to better take in all of that natural beauty you will be amongst.
Each of the archipelago’s islands will offer a slightly different experience than the others; you should take the time to see which more closely fits your idea of a perfect getaway destination. The larger islands will be more developed and have more to offer in terms of services, while the smaller islands will have various levels of development and can offer a more significant variance of adventure.
So Why Turks & Caicos?
You can use a multitude of criteria to decide which beach resort you want to visit or where it is best to invest or live, but it is hard to make a list where the benefits of these islands don’t feature significantly.
We have covered well the beautiful scenery, spectacular marine life, and exceptional amenities found on the Turks and Caicos islands; but It is also worth noting that of all the Caribbean islands, only the Cayman Islands and Turks And Caicos stay away from a volatile currency, use English as a primary language, allow foreigners to buy land, and provide extensive tax breaks. And lastly, the airport has more international connections than any of the other British Overseas Territories and ranks decently amongst Caribbean nations.
Combining these factors, you have an incredibly unique and desirable place to spend your next vacation or make your next purchase.
Find the Perfect Getaway With Turks and Caicos all Inclusive Resorts
So by now, you should be looking for a getaway amongst the Turks and Caicos islands that will make your local spots pale in comparison. It is time to discover a real escape, to a place relatively untouched by the crowds of visitors and tourists you find elsewhere.
Come to the hidden jewels of the Caribbean and find a new adventure, as well as a new place of quietude.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”pt32 pb32″][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1602712479571{border-top-width: 1px !important;border-right-width: 1px !important;border-bottom-width: 1px !important;border-left-width: 1px !important;border-left-color: #005487 !important;border-left-style: solid !important;border-right-color: #005487 !important;border-right-style: solid !important;border-top-color: #005487 !important;border-top-style: solid !important;border-bottom-color: #005487 !important;border-bottom-style: solid !important;border-radius: 10px !important;}” offset=”vc_col-lg-offset-3 vc_col-md-offset-3 vc_col-sm-offset-3″][vc_column_text align=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1602712507091{margin-bottom: 0px !important;padding-top: 20px !important;}”]

A visit to the Caribbean islands will make you feel like you have gone to heaven on Earth. Pinch yourself if you think you’re dreaming, but you’ll probably be excited to know that several Caribbean islands welcome the LGBTQ community with open arms.
Don’t just stop at finding the right island, though. You are also going to need to identify the right accommodations, like the exclusive, secluded beach resort you’ve been dreaming of or that all-inclusive gay-friendly resort your neighbors visited.
Keep some of the following thoughts in mind to help you decide on the absolute best gay-friendly islands in the Caribbean.
Turks and Caicos: Pure Paradise
What do you think of when you hear the word “paradise”?
Only you know what your version of it is, many of us would consider sitting on a beach with a margarita in hand to be pretty close to paradise. This is exactly the kind of vision the Turks and Caicos present, as the whole island is full of pristine, white sandy beaches and beautiful, crystal-clear water.
The Turks and Caicos don’t advertise as gay-friendly per se’, but you will find that the majority of the locals are very accepting of just about anybody coming through to visit the island. With a few select resorts and plenty of beachfront villas with stunning views, the Turks and Caicos could be the perfect place for two sweethearts to have the best vacation ever.
Curacao: An Epic Nightlife Scene
Gay and lesbian travelers looking for the perfect gay-friendly destination will find a lot to love about Curacao. Curacao is a very welcoming and diverse place, full of folks who speak several different languages, including English, Spanish, and Dutch (it is a Dutch island). Curacao is easily the most gay friendly of any Caribbean island, and it is happily apparent the moment you set foot on the island.
Curacao has its very own Pride Festival in the latter half of September every year. You will also find the nightlife scene in Curacao is second to none, offering the most frequented gay bar on the island, known as the Rainbow Lounge. There is always something going on at the Rainbow Lounge, with live DJ acts, dancers, and even straight-up pool parties being regular occurrences.
If you love dancing to some of the hottest stars in electronic dance music, proudly standing as part of the LGBT community in arguably the most gay-friendly Caribbean island, then Curacao is the destination for you. Not only is it inclusive, but it also offers beauty that is second to none. If you feel like swimming in the turquoise water of the Caribbean or getting face to face with the sea life through scuba diving or snorkeling, then you will also find there is fun to be had in Curacao.
You can have fun swimming and building a sandcastle on the beach during the day and hit the clubs at night to dance the worries away.
Puerto Rico: Shops, Food, and Parties
Another very friendly island to the LGBT community is Puerto Rico, where you can find just a little bit of everything. On this exciting Caribbean island that never seems to sleep, you’ll find the following all over the island:
- Snazzy beachfront hotels for catching up on your sleep
- Delicious restaurants that serve up an authentic experience
- Exciting options for nightlife
At the Condado beach, you’ll find no shortage of gorgeous resorts, with one of the most popular being the Atlantic Beach Hotel. Here, you’ll find a well-known gay beach where drag shows are held every week. Food is also served here, along with dance music often provided by a live DJ.
Looking for some friendly gay bars in the area? When you get ready to check out the local nightlife, keep Circo Bar in mind for its dance shows and drag events. The Scandalo establishment also features wild dance nights, while you can find other locations in the area that are a little more reserved if that’s your thing.
If you feel like swimming or even doing some kayaking kayak with your partner, you can check out the gorgeous Bioluminescent Bay and take in all of the natural beauty it has to offer, especially at nighttime.
St. Martin/St. Maarten: A Reserved Piece of Paradise
The St. Martin/St. Maarten region offers a little bit of something for everyone, but it is also one of the more popular gay-friendly Caribbean islands you can find. You will find plenty of beachfront resorts here as well, with the Belmond La Samann, found on the French side, taking up a whopping 55 acres.
Nightlife options in St. Martin/St. Maarten are not as impressive as those found in Curacao and Puerto Rico, but you will find that the options here are more than acceptable for most people. If you’re looking for a great gay bar, you will want to check out Bliss, a huge club on the well-known Maho Beach, or Eros which is another popular LGBT club located in Marigot. Both of these places have been around for quite a while and throw events regularly.
Looking for a drag show on St. Martin/St. Maarten? You can check out the L’Escargot establishment, where you can also catch some yummy French food. If you have always wanted to try something new while simultaneously being able to soak up a fun drag show, then you’ve found the right place.
Let Your Pride Flag Fly!
Wherever you choose to go, you should be happy to know that the Caribbean islands have several options for gay-friendly locations. If you want to be out and proud during your stay in the Caribbean islands, then your best bet may be to head to Curacao, where huge events are always going on, and LGBT community members from all over the world gather together to celebrate their pride and how far they have come.
If that doesn’t sound like something you’d enjoy, then you have other options to choose from, as well. Choose from any of these three great options for gay-friendly Caribbean islands, make your lodging reservations, and get ready to have the time of your life.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”pt32 pb32″][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1602712479571{border-top-width: 1px !important;border-right-width: 1px !important;border-bottom-width: 1px !important;border-left-width: 1px !important;border-left-color: #005487 !important;border-left-style: solid !important;border-right-color: #005487 !important;border-right-style: solid !important;border-top-color: #005487 !important;border-top-style: solid !important;border-bottom-color: #005487 !important;border-bottom-style: solid !important;border-radius: 10px !important;}” offset=”vc_col-lg-offset-3 vc_col-md-offset-3 vc_col-sm-offset-3″][vc_column_text align=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1602712507091{margin-bottom: 0px !important;padding-top: 20px !important;}”]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1602881464544{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]A big vacation usually only comes once a year for the average person. For working parents who have kids at home, planning a family vacation can be a little more difficult than the average person, though. This is because you’ll have to look around for family-friendly activities everywhere that you plan on taking your kids, as well as look for proper accommodations for the whole family during your stay on the islands. If you have been inspired to plan a trip to the Caribbean islands for your next big vacation, then one question on your mind may be which of the islands offer the beautiful beaches, water sports and tropical environment that adults want as well as the kid-friendly activities that the whole family can enjoy?
You’ll be happy to know that you have plenty of options to choose from since you’ll be hard-pressed to find an island that doesn’t offer something that would appeal to the younger travelers in your group.
The Best Kid-Friendly Islands
Get ready to begin taking notes, because it is time to dive into some of the best kid-friendly islands in the Caribbean getaways. Whether you have older kids that can enjoy kayaking, snorkeling, or sailing on a catamaran or are searching for the best Caribbean island with a toddler in tow, then consider these things before making your final decision on which islands to consider.
Your kids’ ages
Consider the ages of your kids first as that will help shape their interests, and you may love looking for options tailored specifically to a certain age group. For example, older kids may love hitting the water, snorkeling, scuba diving or just playing sports on the beach, while younger kids may enjoy checking out marine life at an aquarium.
What there is to do in the area
Take note of some of the available activities on the island you are considering visiting. If your kids are old enough, present them with your list and ask them what they’re most interested in checking out. Gathering family input can be a spectacular way to forge stronger bonds and make the family trip the best tropical vacation possible.
Lodging arrangements
There are many family-friendly resorts to choose from, or even beachfront villas to take advantage of. Whether it’s a beach resort or a centrally located rental home, be sure to choose the family accommodations carefully so everyone will be as comfortable as possible.
With those little tidbits of wisdom in mind, check out some of the best kid-friendly Caribbean islands that you should be putting at the top of your list to potentially visit.
Turks and Caicos
For the guppies in your family, there is no place quite like the Turks and Caicos. There is simply no shortage of tropical fun to be had here. You and your kids can experience something in this area that will enlighten anyone fascinated with sea life, which is getting up close and personal through fun underwater activities like snorkeling and scuba diving.
You and the kids can feel at one with the fish and other marine life when you visit the Turks & Caicos and plan an underwater adventure. You don’t have to do these activities if you don’t want to, either. You could simply just take the kids to the clear turquoise waters to swim, or everyone could even spread out in the white sand and work on their tans.
Providenciales is the island with the most tourist activities. Here you’ll find the famous Grace Bay Beach, a marine park featuring a bottlenose dolphin called Jo Jo, and a conch farm.
For the family of nature lovers, South Caicos can’t be beaten. This paradise island has superb scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, and miles of secluded sandy beaches to explore. Whale watching, kayaking, and collecting shells are also popular activities.
If a tropical adventure is what your family is looking for on vacation, then the chances are very high that you will find it with a visit to the Turks and Caicos.
Martinique
Martinique is a gorgeous Caribbean island, and it is full of luxurious hotels, inclusive resorts, and restaurants. This might sound like it will get pricey, and it can, but there are also ways you can have fun on Martinique for free if you so desire.
If you or anyone in your family is interested in history, then consider taking your vacation party to the Anse Cafard Slave Memorial and can learn all about how slavery impacted the island throughout its history. You can also take the whole family to the breathtaking Les Salines beach for sunbathing and swimming when it is time to beat the heat.
Want to get up close and stare in the face of one of nature’s giants? Take your family on an adventure to discover the Mount Pelee area, which is the Martinique region’s active volcano. Make sure you snap plenty of photographs!
The Cayman Islands
For many families who have visited the Caribbean islands before, the Cayman Islands might be a familiar name. You’ll find that these islands (the largest of which is called Grand Cayman) offer a little something for people of all ages.
For the most part, what you’re going to find on the Cayman Islands is pure and unadulterated beauty. Clear waters and warm sand greet you at almost every turn on these islands, and your kids will find plenty to love about these islands, too.
Whether you want to swim, build a sandcastle together, or just soak up the sun, the beaches on the Cayman Islands are more than equipped to help you achieve the task. Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman may be the most famous, but there are loads of other gorgeous beaches to enjoy.
If you want to visit with live sea turtles and get your kids in on the experience, then you will find that the Cayman Turtle Centre is a great destination to take your family. Here, your kids will be able to see sea turtles up close and personal, as well as learn a little about them and how they live.
Stingray City on Grand Cayman is another popular attraction. The kids will love petting and interacting with the many gentle stingrays found in the shallow waters of sandbars.
Plan the Perfect Family-Friendly Tropical Getaway
Planning a vacation for your entire family isn’t simple, and traveling with kids isn’t a walk in the park sometimes, either. At the end of the day, though, you’ll be happy you did the legwork to find the best Caribbean island for your family so that everyone can enjoy the perfect tropical vacation with you, no matter their ages.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”pt32 pb32″][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1602712479571{border-top-width: 1px !important;border-right-width: 1px !important;border-bottom-width: 1px !important;border-left-width: 1px !important;border-left-color: #005487 !important;border-left-style: solid !important;border-right-color: #005487 !important;border-right-style: solid !important;border-top-color: #005487 !important;border-top-style: solid !important;border-bottom-color: #005487 !important;border-bottom-style: solid !important;border-radius: 10px !important;}” offset=”vc_col-lg-offset-3 vc_col-md-offset-3 vc_col-sm-offset-3″][vc_column_text align=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1602712507091{margin-bottom: 0px !important;padding-top: 20px !important;}”]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1602880548357{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Have you ever sat at work, bored, and wishing you could be somewhere that looks a little more like paradise? Has your mind drifted back to memories of vacations past to some of your favorite trips to the beach? What if you could plan a vacation to a new place when your next vacation rolls around? You may have heard about and even considered visiting the Caribbean islands. They are beautiful, each one with its own character, unique locales, and so much more. “Wait just a minute”, you might be thinking, “Isn’t a trip to the Caribbean islands expensive?”
You would be correct in thinking that trips to the Caribbean islands can get pricey, but did you know that you could save a good bit of money during certain times of the year, depending on how you plan your vacation? If you’re ready to save some money in your bank account for your next vacation while also enjoying a great time in a tropical Caribbean destination, then these next bits of advice are just for you.
Planning Your Caribbean Vacation
If you like the thought of saving as much money as possible on your vacation to the islands, then you’re going to want to know about the times of the year where you might save some money. Luckily, there are several months in the year where you can find good deals on travel to the Caribbean islands.
Generally, winter and spring in the northern hemisphere, December through May, is going to be the most expensive time of year to head to the Caribbean. This is the “high season” and usually you’ll be paying top dollar. It is the other months of the year, the summer months and fall when cheap flights and great deals are available.
The Cheapest Time of Year to Go to the Caribbean Islands
Planning a vacation can take a good amount of smart scheduling and staying on top of travel prices. To help you save as much cash as possible during your vacation this year, try to plan your trip around the cheapest time of year to travel to the Caribbean islands – June through November.
Let’s break it down by month to make it super simple.
Planning a Trip in June-August
The months of June to August are great times to plan a trip to the Caribbean islands, as it is the start of hurricane season or the “low season”, and fewer tourists are likely to be in the area.
At the start of the season, hurricanes are more likely to be experienced in the Gulf of Mexico than in the Caribbean region, so June-July is an ideal time to score good low season deals for islands in the eastern Caribbean like Turks and Caicos, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands – St. John, St. Croix and St. Thomas.
During these months, you will also find that the beaches may not be as full as other times of the year, since many schools are still going to be in session. Less busy islands equal more savings for the vacationer on a budget, so keep this time of year in mind if you want to save some money on your tropical vacation.
Temperatures, as usual in the Caribbean, are consistently warm across most of the islands. The average temperatures on the islands can be anywhere from the high 70s to the mid or high 80s. Perfect weather for hitting the beach!
If planning a trip to the Caribbean this time of year, you might want to consider bringing a light jacket if it rains. Thunderstorms become more frequent on the islands as the hurricane season progresses.
Planning a Trip in September-November
The months of September to November can be a great time to plan a trip for folks looking for the cheapest time to go on a Caribbean vacation. The month of September is the very peak of hurricane season, making it one of the best times to find low prices at some of the most desirable inclusive resorts.
On average, the southern Caribbean is less likely to be broadsided by a hurricane than other parts of the Caribbean Sea. Places such as the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao) as well as Trinidad and Tobago are situated somewhat south of the usual hurricane tracks and can be good destinations for low season vacations.
With this being the peak of the low season, there are going to be a lot fewer tourists around than normal, meaning prices for travel and lodging should be much lower. As a bonus, you won’t have to worry about sharing the beaches or your hotel with too many other guests.
Around October, the weather is quite warm and full of humidity. You can still expect the occasional thunderstorm around this time of year, but you will find that October on the Caribbean islands is going to be another of the cheapest months for traveling if you want to save as much money as you can.
November
November is going to be one of the last months you can really save some money on travel and lodging in the Caribbean islands until peak season is over. Once it’s December and the high season rolls around, vacationers are going to be showing up for a Caribbean Christmas or New Year, and other winter months are no less busy than December is when it comes to tourists flocking to the islands.
You may also find much cheaper or heavily discounted hotel rates in the time leading up to December, so keep an eye out for prices in your budget for travel accommodations.
November does have several fun events on some of the islands that you might wish to consider checking out, including:
- The famous Food and Rum Festival on the island of
- Jamaica’s always fun Restaurant Week
- The island of Trinidad hosting Divali.
For saving as much money as possible on your vacation to the Caribbean islands, these are going to be your best options when you’re thinking about the cheapest time to go to the Caribbean islands.
Find your island and have some fun
Now that you know how you can save some extra money on your trip, all that is left for you to do is to find the Caribbean island of your dreams, find the best rates for your travel and accommodations, and begin planning the best tropical vacation possible![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”pt32 pb32″][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1602712479571{border-top-width: 1px !important;border-right-width: 1px !important;border-bottom-width: 1px !important;border-left-width: 1px !important;border-left-color: #005487 !important;border-left-style: solid !important;border-right-color: #005487 !important;border-right-style: solid !important;border-top-color: #005487 !important;border-top-style: solid !important;border-bottom-color: #005487 !important;border-bottom-style: solid !important;border-radius: 10px !important;}” offset=”vc_col-lg-offset-3 vc_col-md-offset-3 vc_col-sm-offset-3″][vc_column_text align=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1602712507091{margin-bottom: 0px !important;padding-top: 20px !important;}”]
